Gala Pin is the councillor for Barcelona en Comú at the Barcelona City Council, where she is responsible for the Ciutat Vella district as well as participation and territory. She has been based in Barcelona since 2003, and has been involved in the protection of the right to housing and the city and in the Barceloneta neighbourhood movement, where she participated in the reclamation of cooperative memory, the defence of a citizen port and the movement to counter predatory tourism.
