Reclaiming Our Neighbourhood – Community campaigns to create a healthy, thriving Grove Park Grove Park has a history of community activists coming together to protect and enhance community assets for future generations to enjoy. Various community groups have formed to highlight the benefits of these assets and have successfully fought off many threats; but the ongoing campaign continues. In 2011, new legislation – the Localism Act 2011 – gave the community a new vehicle to formalise its aspirations for a healthy and thriving neighbourhood and have since been working on developing a heritage-driven Neighbourhood Development Plan with a vision to create an Urban National Park that celebrates its built and natural heritage. This will act as a legal planning framework to guide future development.
