Teresa Dillon

Teresa is an artist and researcher, who writes, studies and creates stories about the techno-civic that is the relationships that exist between people, communities, technologies and city governance. She has a special interest in survival; maintenance and repair cultures; interspecies relationships; sonic folklores and histories of the build environment; data and digital rights; surveillance and its effects; and the creation of free and open source civic resources. Since 2013, she directs Urban Knights a programme of events that provokes and promotes practical approaches to urban governance and city living. Teresa currently holds the post of Professor of City Futures at the School of Art and Design, University of the West of England (UWE) and is a resident of the Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol.
