Christoph Schäfer

Christoph Schäfer ist Künstler, studierte an der HfbK Hamburg. Ein Pionier im Feld urbaner Kunst, gründete Schäfer 1994 das Projekt Park Fiction und ist Gründungsmitglied der PlanBude und aktiv im Hamburger Recht auf Stadt-Netzwerk. Seine Arbeit wird international ausgestellt, mit dem Park Fiction Kollektiv war Schäfer Teilnehmer an der documenta11 und mit seiner Zeichnungsserie Bostanorama an der 13. Istanbul Biennale 2013.

Christoph Schäfer lives in Hamburg. Since the early 1990s, the artist has worked on urban everyday life and the production of spaces for collective desires. This interest is reflected in wide range of works, that often reflect and sometimes intervene, in unusual drawings, installations and collective projects. Park Fiction was shown in documenta11. Lectures and talks at art schools, MIT, HCU and Zeppelin University, Forum Bauhaus, Creative Summit, subcurated the "Unlikely Encounters in Urban Space" Conference 2003, Exhibitions include the 13th Istanbul Biennial 2013.
